NFL | JOSH ALLEN LEADS BUFFALO BILLS TO DRAMATIC OVERTIME VICTORY OVER LOS ANGELES RAMS
The Buffalo Bills secured a dramatic 37–34 overtime victory over the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night at SoFi Stadium, completing a closely contested matchup that featured multiple lead changes and an explosive fourth quarter. Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen played a central role in the victory, helping the Bills withstand a late Los Angeles comeback before securing the winning points in overtime.
Allen finished with 210 passing yards and 121 rushing yards, contributing one passing touchdown and one rushing touchdown. Running back James Cook III added 111 rushing yards and two touchdowns, strengthening Buffalo's ground attack. Los Angeles quarterback Matthew Stafford responded with 383 passing yards and three touchdowns, while wide receiver Puka Nacua recorded 17 receptions for 138 yards and a touchdown.
The Rams forced overtime when Kyren Williams scored on a one-yard touchdown run with five seconds remaining in regulation. During the extra period, Los Angeles recovered a Buffalo fumble and appeared positioned to complete the comeback. However, Bills defensive end Greg Rousseau blocked a potential game-winning field goal attempt, giving Buffalo another opportunity. Allen advanced the offense into scoring position, allowing kicker Tyler Bass to convert a 45-yard field goal for the victory.
The result improved Buffalo's record to 4–1 while Los Angeles fell to 2–3. The victory also marked Allen's first career overtime win, adding another milestone to his professional career. Buffalo will now turn its attention toward its next matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders, looking to build on a performance that demonstrated both its offensive potential and its ability to respond under pressure.
